Visumdienste

As both Cyprus and Austria are members of the European Union and participate in the Schengen Area, Austrian citizens do not require visas to visit Cyprus. Austrian nationals enjoy complete freedom of movement under EU regulations and can travel, live, and work in Cyprus without any visa requirements. The same applies to Croatian and Slovenian citizens as EU members. For third-country nationals residing in Austria, Croatia, Slovenia, or Liechtenstein who require visas to visit Cyprus, the embassy's Consular Section processes Schengen visa applications following common EU procedures. Applicants must submit a completed application form, valid passport with adequate validity, biometric passport photographs, travel health insurance with minimum €30,000 coverage, confirmed accommodation and travel itinerary in Cyprus, and proof of sufficient financial means. Consular appointments are required for all visa applications—contact viennaconsul@mfa.gov.cy to schedule. Processing typically takes 15 calendar days but may vary.
