The Canadian Embassy at Nueva Tajamar 481, Torre Norte, 12th floor, in the Las Condes business district of Santiago manages Canada's bilateral relationship with Chile. The Canada-Chile Free Trade Agreement (in force since 1997) was one of Chile's earliest FTAs and remains a cornerstone of the bilateral economic relationship. Canadian mining companies are among the largest foreign investors in Chile — Canada is the leading source of foreign mining investment in the country. Bilateral cooperation extends to education, renewable energy, and governance. A Youth Mobility Agreement facilitates cultural exchange between young Canadians and Chileans.
