Most Indian passport holders do, but there is a specific exemption worth checking before applying: Indian nationals holding a valid United States B2 tourist visa do not need a separate Argentine visa for tourism and may enter Argentina directly on the US document. Indian travellers without a US tourist visa apply for an Argentine tourist visa at this Embassy (or at the Mumbai Consulate General if resident in Maharashtra) following an email-first then in-person appointment process.
Maharashtra residents apply through the Argentine Consulate General in Mumbai, which has its own consular jurisdiction over the state. The New Delhi Embassy covers the rest of India plus Sri Lanka, the Maldives, Nepal and Bhutan; if your residence is in Maharashtra, the Mumbai post is the correct route.
Indian visa applicants send their category-specific document checklist to the consular section at secon_eindi@mrecic.gov.ar. The consular team reviews the file by email and, once it is verified as complete, schedules a physical appointment for original-document submission and biometrics. The model is designed to minimise wasted Delhi trips for applicants resident outside the National Capital Region; walk-in attempts without prior verification are typically turned away.
